Assign a Labor Resource as an Employee

If a labor resource has an employee status, assigning a default assignment and pay rates is required.

Assign an employee status while creating a new labor resource

  1. From the Labor Information screen, click the Is Employee checkbox to assign the new labor an employee status. The Has Default Assignment checkbox is selected and its drop-down list is enabled. The Pay Rates link appears.

  2. Select a default assignment from the Has Default Assignment drop-down list.

  3. Click the Save button.

  4. Click the Pay Rates link to open the Rates Manager screen. Refer to Pay Rates to define pay rates.

 

Assign an employee status to a selected labor resource

  1. Click the Resources menu link to open the View Resources screen.

  2. Select the organization from the Organization drop-down list to display the labor resources in the Resources Listing.

  3. The Labor option in the Resource Type drop-down list and the Active checkbox are selected by default. Proceed to the next step to filter the search.

  4. Select a group from the Group drop-down list and/or enter the search criteria into the Skill/Type, Resources, and/or Agreement text boxes, using the Track's filter option control. (see also Filter Option)

  5. Once a labor resource is located, click the labor resource's name under the Resource column to open the Labor Information screen, displaying the selected labor resource's information.

  6. From the Labor Information screen, click the Is Employee to assign the new labor an employee status. The Has Default Assignment checkbox is selected and its drop-down list is enabled. The Pay Rates link appears.

  7. Select a default assignment from the Default Assignment drop-down list.

  8. Click the Save button.

  9. Click the Pay Rates link to open the Rates Manager screen. Refer to Pay Rates to define pay rates.
