Schedule Overview

Schedules are defined time frames within a 24-hour period that a labor resource or a piece of equipment is assigned to work. Each labor resource must have an assigned working schedule before the net time can be calculated.

Schedules begin on a specific day of the week with a repeated pattern every specified number of days, depending on how it’s set up. Since schedules have effective beginning dates, a change in schedule for a labor resource may be set up in advance. Each time a schedule is assigned to a labor resource, Track adjusts the schedule’s effective end date.

Lunch breaks can be defined in a schedule and designated within a pay formula as paid or unpaid hours. Lunch breaks within equipment schedules are considered as non-working time.

Schedules for labor resources must be associated with a shift. Shift differentials, an extra rate per hour, can be set up for the swing shifts. They only apply to labor resources whose work schedules associated with one of these shifts. Equipment schedules are associated with the equipment shift.

Track also has a feature for assigning an auto allocation to labor resources or equipment for a selected date range.
