Delegation of Authority Overview

The Delegation of Authority is the process where a manager is assigned an amount of approval at specific levels. This invoice approval or audit work process frequently requires more than one person to review and approve vendor charges. The second level of authorization may require, depending on the amount of the charges and the person's assigned level of delegated authority for the labor, equipment, and materials.

Track allows the approver to set up the spending limits for labor, equipment hours and other costs, and material charges. Track's Authorization Central identifies and highlights charges which exceed the approver's authorization limits and allows the ability of the responsible parties to escalate approval to the designated final approver.
